Do I need aftermarket axle with aftermarket rear end?

I have a '04 450r and an almost new PEP rear shock I have been wanting to put on. I finally found the Walsh Savior swing arm I need but my question is do I need an aftermarket axle? or carrier for that matter? I do not really understand carriers, if they go along with the axle or just the swing arm?

No, you don't need an aftermarket axle with the aftermarket rear end. You can mix and match carriers with different brand swingers and axles. They are all the same.

So even keep the OEM axle and carrier will fit into an aftermarket swinger?

yep unless its like a lonestar swinger. I believe those require a lonestar carrier. Just ask the manufacturer
