another jeting thread

what kind of jeting should i run. i was thinking like a 170 to 180
but what do you guy think?

I can't give u any recommendations with the lid on as I've never jetted a bike for that. Though I can tell you that the 170-180 you are thinking is WAY too large.

An 06 with the lid OFF and those mods would use around a 165 MJ.

Installing the cam and exhaust is a waste unless you ditch the air box lid anyway.
You are only giving the intake a fraction of the air flow it could get with out the lid.
Its like putting a supercharger in ur car to increase air flow and then sticking a potato in the intake.
Ditching the lid is 1 of the largest power gains for these bikes.

At 800-900 ft elevation:
2007 450ER
HRC CAM
ncvq needle, 3rd clip
165 MAIN
42 PILOT
55 LEAK
Big Gun Evo full exhaust/LTE FULL EXHAUST
My lid is modified, the entire inside of the lid is cut out and replace with UNI bulk filter.

ok i think it has a 165 mj in it now ill try to run it without the lid
