I just bought a hot rods stroker crank for my 2005 450R now i need the main bearings. according to my honda dealer i can only get the bearing on the clutch side. the other bearing on the timing chain side you can only get if you buy a oem crank. So I thought I would buy hot rods bearing and seal kit but they are backordered til end of august. Anyone know of any dealers that would have a hotrods/pivot works bearing/seal kit on hand. I called max power being thats where i bought the crank but they dont have any on hand. thanks for the help

You can order them anywhere that sells OEM parts.

Here are the part #'s for both side bearings and seals for an 05.

91202-HP1-671
91201-HP1-671
91008-HP1-672

I did the same thing for my HR +3 crank.
I recommend getting it balanced and welded.

Dont mean to thred jack but what does balanced and welded mean? Dont HR cranks come balanced and what would you want to weld?

when you send it to a shop and have it ballanced and welded they true and balance the crank better than oem or hot rods. they then weld the crank pins so you crank halves dont move and come out of spec. and in they case its a hotrods or another rebuildable crank it remains rebuildable.

From the factory I think the hotrods crank is balanced to the stock piston or some heavier wiseco piston, cant remember.

Sending it out to someone like crankworks to get it balanced, they would be balancing it to ur much lighter aftermarket piston if you have one.
And like said above, welding the crank pin so the counter weights don't loose their true and destroy your cases.
This is normally only a problem in the higher HP engines.

IMO, if its mostly a stock engine, and you know its going to stay that way, u'll probably be fine dropping it in right out of the box.
