so im buying a J.E. high compression piston, and a hot cam i want low to mid end power everyone is telling me stage 1 but i also hear stage 2 im wanting to change the sprockets around and see what i can get out of it anyideas?

im running a 12.5:1 JE 440 piston and a hotcams stage 2 in my machine and i love it. the only complaint i have is that the cam is do damn loud. i've heard its just the hotcams in general but ive also heard its just the stage 2 but either way it really bugs me and it sounds like it may blow up. despite the noise it runs like a raped ape and havent had any problems. also if youre going to upgrade the cam you might as well go for the HD timing chain/crf chain

if it was me i would go with the stage to cam its in the middle and it there for what ever set up you go with now or later .

if you need a stage 1 cam i have one for sale i ran it for about 4 or so months thin i went big bore and got a stage 2 and stage 3 cam but im going to keep the 2 and 3 the 3 will be for the stroker.

You'll be safe with the stg2. Stg 1 is a fun in a stump pulling way but the stg2 with proper comp is good all around too.

ok so stage 2 im almost stock but gonna have highcompression and pipe and intake is that going to make a difference and
is everyones stage 2 cam making a bunch of noise
