There are way to many freakin' jet numbering systems. I've seen a lot of confusion besides my own on this. So if everybody listed their jet size and maker as well as information on whether an aftermarket exhaust ,filter, airbox lid (on/off/modified) have been upgraded. You have to include ALL the the information below.

TRX400EX
Dynojet DJ170 Main clip on 3rd notch of needle
Stock Pilot
WB e-series slipon/ground header welds
K&N Filter w/outerwears
Modified airbox lid
Altititude: 298' above sea level

For simplicity, we stick to bikes similar to mine for closer comparisons and because most people are going to start out this way. The more people who post their info the easier it will be to get a semi accurate conversion rate.:huh Thanx for your continued support.:macho

This is a good idea in theory but there are way so many variables that we would need hundreds of samples to get an accurate comparison.

A thought that just came to mind is if someone a collection of various jets and measured the inside diameter with a wire guage and posted the results? I don't know if there are different tapers/venturies among the jets that would make a difference though.

Anyway, here is my info:

400ex
K150 main
40 pilot
needle up one notch
WB E-Series slip-on w/ ground welds
stock lid
alt. 0-3000ft

As far as I know there are different tapers in jets. Hopefully we'll get a lot more people with basic setups like ours so we can get a close approximation at least.

newbie you can't really go by what other guys have. There are alot of factors you have to account for like, different components, climate and elevation play a big part. But thats what makes having a toy like this so much fun! Its all a learning experience. We can give you advice to get you close but the rest is up to you.
Just remember have fun with it!

I think my jetting is pretty good right now. I've done the plug check thing etc. I just think we need an approximate conversion chart between makers. The best way to do that is statistically with a lot of data. (or some kind of flowmeter and a **** load of different jets.
