? 05 ex

A friend of mine has an 05 ex he said he sale me..he said that he use to ride wheelies for a long distance (which in return is goin to push all you oil to the back) but he was riding down the road one day and all of a sudden it just poped and died..he said he has not really messed with it since it happend, but it will crank over and build compression just no start..so what i figured is that he might crack head or something like the from lack of oil from doing the wheelies but idk what to think about it..sounds like an awsome start to a 440 big bore kit haha but i dont want to get into that just yet..he said he sale it to me 1000 dollars, comes with k&n and a spare filter, extra set of wheels and tires (not a lot of tread) a white bros exhaust and extra sprockets front and back is it worth it?? i think it is but i was wantin some opinions on what you all think could be the problem? anything would be great..thanks in advance...

yeah i think it doesnt sound bad but of course ill try talk him down haha its yellow :S im not a huge fan..but ironically both of my four wheelers are yellow..haha regardless its a 400ex..

the400ex has a dry sump system.there isn't much oil in the bottom. its all in the tank in front of the motor. this means you can ride wheelies all day long with no ill effects.

Yeah exactly. It's also a pressurized system, the oil will get to the head regardless. The only way it would've suffer from lack of oil is if he ran it low. He's probably done something more serious. If I were you I'd just keep looking, unless the rest of the quad is in great condition, which I doubt.
