i got a big leak on the left side of my motor i got the gt thunder studs just wondering aprox. how much it costs for a shop to install them i figured around 100 bux but would appreciate the input tight on money at the moment and havn't had it running since april

sounds about right. it shouldnt take them 2 hours to put them in no matter what. I would say most charge around 70 an hour for special machining ops so 1.5 hours @70 is 105. should get you close, then anything less is a bonus :D steve

i payed around 85 for mine to be put in at a local machine shop.

I used to do some machine work and this is really 30-60 minute deal with proper tooling and that's including setup.

dumb question, but if the stock bolts stripped the cylinder threads its still safe to have these put in, right?

hey the shop i took it too last said my compression was at 165 thats with 2 head bolts being stripped and oil spraying out the side of the motor is that farely hi or should it be in the 200's with a big bore kit
