I have a PC5 with autotune. - it works well but some ot the connectors are quite delicate and not very waterproof...
I would suggest that the bike is set up as normal on the dyno (for the conditions that day) - then you can use the autotune to just 'tweak' the map continually. As insurance I have limited mine to a max 10% difference to the 'base' map that was set up on the dyno, in case any of those little connectors fail or the autotune malfunctions...

Or just use your stock ECU which adjusts automatically for the mods you have in your motor.....

ya but dont u have to remap it if u go from a stock motor to modded like head work intake, and fuel injector, ect.

Nope. Stock injector, stock throttle body racer program ecu and pink wire cut. Perfect set up not matter what mods besides the ones I mentions in the beginning of this post.

how does the stock ecm do it if it doesnt have that exhaust sesor like the pc5

Sorry Blaster but you're wrong on this one. The stock setup can compensate up to a point (taking measurements from the pressure sensor in the airbox) but once there are major mods it is effectively out of calibration. This is because the injector is delivering fuel according to parameters set out in the stock 'map'. It is not a closed loop system and so cannot 'learn' as it has no exhaust gas analyser. This may not be the best explanation, (typing on my phone is getting a little tedious) but there is a good thread somewhere on here about a year or so ago explaining the difference between the stock system and one with a lambda sensor.

Explain my 3 perfectly running can-ams then. All 3 burn beautiful. Believe me if you want, If not I really don't care. I'm just trying to save some people some money.

They obviously aren't that radically modified and the stock setup can cope when the pink wire is cut. Similarly, believe me if you want or not, but I'd say your bikes could run better if the fueling were finely tuned. I don't run a PC on my practice bike, which it is modded a bit. It runs pretty well but nowhere as crisp as my race bikes. If you think yours is running ok that's great. If the engine is radically modified (like a stroker that I built) it WILL need a fuel controller - the stock setup will not deliver enough fuel no matter what. The curious thing is the stock map tends to be rich down low - when running the bigger injector anyway.
It's not going to save anyone any money if their bike is running way too lean.
Anyway, I'm sure this topic has been covered before...

This year they aren't all that modified due to class rules. Last year i ran a 13.5:1 piston, exhaust cams, and BCS full porting, along with the motoworks slip-on and BCS intake ring and filter. Not to many people do more than that, and that was just pink wire cut. They run perfect. I am no beginner. Not trying to start a flame war, but just stating the facts.

The stock ECU has two fuel maps built into it. One for a stock engine and a slightly richer mix for the slip on/lid off airbox combo. The PC5 can adjust to an infinite variety of mods and day to day variations in airdensity (temperature, humidity, and pressure).
On a side note. Does the PC5 work on 08 year DS450 ATVs? The manufacturer doesn't list the PC5 for that year. It only lists the PC3. jlrenkin and I have the 08 model.

i was told they should work on all models. all the wiring is the same from 08 to 10.
