hot start and battery

so down riding the dunes last weekend , used the hot start 3 times , went to start it again with it and battery was dying , do the hot starts drain the batterys that much?

Sounds like two seperate issues. Check your jetting, I haven't had to use my hotstart yet. If your running the stock battery look at upgrading to a YTZ-7S. It has twice the CCA as the stock battery. You'll need a different battery box for that battery though. Check out Action Motorsports in Texas for their battery relocation kit.
