The ex doesn’t make much power at high rpm, unless you have a stage 3 cam. So I’m not sure a rev box will do you a lot of good.

Oh I just assumed it was an ex since this is the ex section.

a ds650 makes max power about 3/4 of the way through your rpm's so adding a thousand more or so rpm's is pointless youll just hurt the motor more go slower due to not making the power that high up. if you had a cam, bore, port, ect then you make max power higher up the rpm's which is where a rev box comes in to play. if you still want one go for it but you won't notice anything but your rpm's getting a tiny bit higher and your quad not pulling as hard.

Yeah at about 7000rpm the 650 falls flat on it's face. If you had an exhaust and such, you might be able to make use of the cdi. It needs to breathe better first though.

2006 400ex slsd has been in the EX forum for a while now, just because he traded his Ex for a DS now doesnt mean he should leave. If he needs help we should try to help.

You are a sell out though....lol.

It depends on what you plan to do to it in the future. Right now, you won't notice much, at best. I have a Vortex, which I like because I can switch between its two different settings with a button on the bars. It's hard to say which brands are BETTER when it comes to cdi's because they really arent all that different. I would save my money for now, if i were you, and just hit the next gear instead of topping it out.
