a-arm build/ strenght?

so What makes the Long shock a-arms handle so well? i know its partly the shock but aside from that they are wider, I also notice that very few people have just a straight round tube in it, the Lowers have slight bend some where along the way, What would that effect? Also, Would the length make the location of the bend and the degree of the bend differ?


When it comes to Mounting it to the chassis are Adjustable heim's joints or another sort of adjustablity preferred?

So some answers can be answered, 1) yes i am looking in to making a-arms, 2) I've looked at many different a-arms, more then I would personally be able to test and it makes me wonder what would be the better set up?

I know a lot of people like the T pin, as well as roll and walsh but what makes them so handle so well?
