Im heading down lorettas and wondering if i should take my pressure washer or my buddy said they had a few last year that anyone could use them. is that true?

I need to figure out what all im goin to bring along being this is my first road trip race. I will be bringing tools and spare parts for sure.

I'll be there. I went last year too.

As far as a pressure washer, I always take one to national races, sometimes you don't need it, but if they water the track close to your race your bike will get dirty, seems to me as if they don't know how to water a track. They either let it get so dusty you can see, they water the hard packed parts of the track and it gets slick, or they just water the hell out of it and it makes mud.

So yes I'd bring a pressure washer. Bring plenty of spare parts. I always bring a couple air filters, especially to LL, it gets pretty dusty.

You need to get a 55 gallon drum (plastic one). You really don't need a pump, although some people say you do. All you have to do is put a regular water hose spicket and screw it into the removable cap on the drum. Once you have the drum full of water, lay it down in the bed of a truck and use a short hose, put the pressure washer on the ground and it'll work.

I've never bought one. The one we use we found at eech in 07. We asked the track owner if we could have one and he was cool with it. :D

If you need to you can come to my trailer and spray you bike off, you just gotta help us refill it.

The cap (Bung Nut is the technical name haha) has threads, here is a picture of one.

You knock the center out of the cap, and just screw the spicket in.

All the stuff should be at Lowes or Home Depot

lol knock both centers out? i believe i may have a barrel with them already in it. also have seen ppl put fittings in the bottom of the barrels idk how but i guess so they can keep them standing up

You'll only need to knock the center out of the one you want to put the spicket in. Once you get everything together and really look at it, it'll all make a little more sense.

I've seen where people put the in the side of the barrel, but using the cap seems much easier to me.

You can take the top cap out to let it breathe. There shouldn't be enough water in the tank for it to over flow.
