pinging?

Getting what I think is a slight pinging in the lower throttle positions would ajusting the a/f screw help this currently its at 2.5 turns out with a 42 pilot jet and 158 main. Also could it be bad gas that is causing this too i was going to drain my tank but would rather ajust the screw first rather than waist all that fuel.

higher octane will help not adjusting your jetting, I would start there with some fresh 93 or at least 91 octane. steve
