sony CDX-GT700 headunit opinions

im looking to get a headunit and i really like sony and the CDX-GT700. I was wondering if anyone had bought this headunit and if they liked it or not. any advice will help. thanks

its Sony. stay away from it. Get a Pioneer, Alpine, or Kenwood. you will be a lot happier in the long run, and it will work a lot better.

yeah i loved my sony.....until i bought my first pioneer and heard the difference in soun quality and saw the difference in the adjustments they had. I'll never buy another sony head unit again

Kenwood...I bought a Kenwood head unit when I had my system in a Grand-Am about 5 years ago. Took my subs and everything out when i bought my Explorer, just took it out of the explorer to turn it in, and am going to put it in my next vehicle. Still going strong.

Kenwood for sure. Some of the best headunits.

Sony makes AMAZING products.. but when it comes to car audio, sony=fail.

Kenwood OWNS:rolleyes: . I had a couple sony decks myself and was not thrilled with them and i have installed many Sony decks for my customers and 60 percent of the time they are not impressed with sound quality and overall mechanics of it(buttons sticking and cd's eject issues).

I can say pioneer is the top, but I happen to like the simplicity of JVCs.
