Hey Guys,

I need some advice as I have never messed with my ignition,

Should I leave it stock or get a fully adjustable RPM timing plate( 90 bucks )? or is this 4 Deg advance fixed one worth it? (its only $26 bucks) photo attached...

If a little advance is what every one is ending up setting there's at is it worth the savings...

or other suggestions?

Cheers

is more available? I'm sure more will want one. I don't honestly know if 4 degrees will make too much of a difference, most of them only went up to 6 degrees advanced, 4 degrees could cause detonation. I use cr igntions, so do many also.

4 degrees is probably okay on the stock motor, or anything low-compression. I don't think I would do 4 degrees on anything modified for higher compression.

Another aspect to consider is that the billet aluminum bearing holders are generally much better/stronger than the OEM cast ones.

Does anyone else have more input on this? I was wondering the same thing. Would 4 degrees be completely dangerous to do to a higher compression engine? I've read Patriot Racings website regarding their builds, and it seems to depends on motocross/dune build, ect.

It got me freaked out to just bolt one on and try it.
