air box lid?

i know its probably on here some where but what gains do you get by removing the air box? i have a t4 slip on and the bike has been jetted for the pipe do i need to rejet it to remove the lid?

well from what albaracing said when they dyno tuned my bike is that i was looking to gain 1-2whp with removing the air box lid...I did and run a outer wear filter over it to help as well as a uni filter...clean it before every trip for safety.
