I just picked up an 05 400ex and I'm looking for a White brothers slip-on for it. I found one from a 450r for sale but I can't seem to find any real info on whether or not it will fit. That being said I'm a fabricator by trade and don't have any problems making things fit (to an extent). So does anyone know if it can be done?

You would have to change the mounting brackets, and probably the diameter of the end of the slip on that fits into the header. However, I imagine that it would not as beneficial performance wise to fit an exhaust from another quad for your 400.

If I were you I'd keep looking. There are lots of great deals out there, especially on used slip-ons. :macho

you can make anything fit. a guy i race with just put an exhaust from a yz450 dirt bike on his dvx400.

white brothers was bought out by Vance and Hines, since this happened they pretty much quit making quad exhausts. so parts are hard to find, pretty much impossible, in light of this i wouldn't bother with a white brothers exhaust. sure you can get packing for it, that's universal. but no luck on the hard parts. i just bought a 400ex with a e2 slip on, thought that was good until i got it home and found on from a member on here that they were out of business. now if i were to need something i would just trash it and get something else. just my 2 cents

I ran an E-series on my 2000 400ex for 3 years without any trouble. The performance was awesome. Now I'm looking to regain that.

thats fine, i understand that.
just telling you the cons of it, go ahead and fab away if thats what you want. but for whats its worth, all the pipes out there will perform well, they all have R&D time in them
