I have a streamline stick stabilizer, it works great but i am running a burgard steering stem and the clamp on my stabilizer that goes around the stem is to big. I really dont want to order another clamp so i just wrapped electricle tape around the stem until the clamp would fit tight. This is working for now but im afraid that it will slip off within the first 2 miles of a race. Does anybody else have this problem? And if so how do you fix it? Open to all ideas!!!!!

Ive heard wrapping with sandpaper works, itll probably scuff it.

As ghetto as it is I doubt it is going to slip.. If it does it will do it a little at a time not just spin to full lock in one turn....

Look up local machine shops and either
A: have them make a new clamp
or
B: make a shim.

Just my opinion... I wouldn't trust the tape for a Looong time (it will eventually break down) but I would trust it to get you by till you get a permanent solution. Just put on enough tape that it is TIGHT when you clamp it.

drill a hole through the clamp then thread it and put a set screw in. it should help.

spend the 20 bucks and get a clamp, call eastcoast ATV, they have cheap ones
