i have an 05 450r and it has a dmc alien exhaust on it now, older style. not really liking the sound, looking to get a new slip on or full system if cheap enough.

i was looking on ebay and found a couple but most are for 06+
found a fmf power core 4 slip on that says it fits 04-10

now will any year slip on fit?

also i dont think the guy i got it from jetted it right.

i live in south jersey at sea level any one tell me what its supposed to be jetted at?

Check out the pro armor full system. I got mine for $292.00. Sounds great and the super trapp disc work on it,so you can tune it alittle.I have it on my 07r.Good all around power gains with a jet kit.

Are you rocking a full system or a slip on?... (I'm pretty sure the alien came in a full not sure about slip on)

Jetting has more to do with your mods than where you are... Where you are will change jetting a little but, a full system with air box lid off will be way diffrent jetting then a slip on with air box lid on..

Have you thought about repacking the pipe you have? A lot of times an exhaust will sound like poo after all the packing in the muffler burns up and blows out. If you like the look of your pipe and it's just the sound that bothers you, find some packing material and repack it and save some money... JMHO

Eh it's pretty banged up. The header looks stock I'm not sure though like I said it was on there when I got it.
Right now the motor is stock minus the pipe. Airbox lid on.
I think I'm just gonna get a whole new system and start fresh.

check the part number on a pipe for an 05 then compare to that of an 06+

some brands you can switch between 04/05 and 06+ but most will need modification to fit. I have heard that fmf's you can switch but I wouldn't risk it and have to hack up a nice pipe

What about motoworks? I seen one on eBay but it said it was mainly for top end. Now I seen an alba pipe that for was for all around bottom mid n top. So idk

motoworks are good to I just don't think you'd get the same power increase as the one's I stated. not sure how the price difference is but the extra $$$$$ is worth it

don't get a alba I had them fall apart on when riding

I don't really know much about that pipe, what's the deal with the canister on the head pipe? Is the pipe designed for race motors? My motor is stock

the canister is for sound, supposedly makes it quieter

My motor is stock All it does is make it quieter without losing power. It is 97Db compared to 100+ for a regular Dasa. I ran it on a motor that was stock other than a CP 12:1 and it was perfectly fine. It is designed for built motors but works great with stock too so it would be fine now and if you decide to get motor work in the future.
