is the HD go pro worth it?

is the HD go pro worth it over the standard? i will be purchasing a go pro within the next month and at $300 dollars the HD seems a bit pricey and the standard def.wide would be more in my price range. is the standard still good?

Look on u tube at the helmet cam vids that are out there, from what I have seen the go pro looks like the best choice for quality picture.
The wide looks good and you can see much more of the track but it dose make the jumps look smaller then they really are.
I’ve been thinking of getting the go pro as well, I’m saving up for it right now.

i have a 32 gb sd card i have to go with it. go to staples and get one for half the price. thats what i did. im looking at getting the wide its just whether or not i shoudl get the standard or hd cuase i dont really have the money for the hd

I would like to see a side by side comparison between the two. But as a rule I have found that if it’s something you are going to use a lot, get the best you can afford.

Hmm... I believe it was on this site that a guy had a whole review about the Go Pro cam and how to set it up and everything. Idk which version it was but he put up a few vids and stuff. I think he was riding a YFZ in the snow.

Does anyone remember that? If I remember correctly his name was Ryan.

I like the HD better. On a HD tv, you can really tell a difference. On youtube, not so much. You can record wide with the HD as well. It does it all.

Exactly, dont go off Youtube for your comparison. Watching the HD version on an HD tv is awesome.
