Dumb Chain Question

I have a Walsh swingarm. New chain and sprockets. Chain needs to be tightened but when I roll the carrier either way, the chain doesn't tighten it loosens. I am lost?

It sounds like you may need to remove a link.

X2 when the chain is off. roll the carrier so u see when its smallest & then biggest. put the carrier in the midddle spot & then c how much extra chain u have.
