That sucks. I feel for the people losing their jobs.

Yeah, it's probably not their best decision to thumb their noses at their employees and loyal customer base. I wonder how much the loss of customers will negatively impact any "positive" financial gain they would have made by moving plants to Mexico.

Sorry to see the jobs go but if Polaris wants to stay in business they had to move. New higher Taxes for the rich, Obama care, higher energy cost due to Federal regulation, make about a 50 to 60% increase of cost to run a factory in the USA. Are you willing to pay a extra 50 to 60% cost increase for Polaris made in the USA product.

I'm not sure where you get your figures, I would be interested to know. Taking them at face value for now, it adds up like this:
The last factory I worked at valued the "facilities outlay" at 7 % of
the total cost of our product. A 50% increase in that is either 3.5 or 2.25% increase in the total cost, depending on how you like your math. So, an $8000 dollar quad from Mexico would cost $8180 if Made in USA. Would I spend an extra 200 dollars to keep my brothers working? YES.

YES. it look like the new health care bill may eat up 55% of a company's profits, Pay higher taxes next year(15 percent to 40 percent ). Increase local and state taxes increase cost of power.
