anyone know what needle a 38 a/s should have when it comes from the factory? I have a DDJ. according to a kehin needle chart, there is no such thing as a DDJ needle so im wondering if i have a mikuni needle or something? maybe the chart is outdated or has a typo?

im trying to fine tune my carb for my esr 310 trx 7.

The 38mm A/S come with a DDJ needle from the factory. Yes, DDJ is a real needle. No, you are not crazy. I will tell you though, they don't seem to run very good in most people's quads. Mine runs the best on a CGH. Regardless, you need to listen to your motor and it will tell you what it wants. I would recommend getting several needles in different categories and trying them to see how the motor reacts. This helped me out alot, and they are cheap. By the way, set the pilot and main jet up first, for they will both play a part in what needle works the best for you.

No. Mine is just a stock cylinder, but the method will get you to where you want to be just the same.

im running the esr 310 trx7 port. i use the CEL needle with a 50 pilot and a 175 main. everybody has differrent pipes, reeds, air filter set ups, but this set-up has been working pretty good for me
