Had a rad lock nut... Broke a bolt off in it.. Tried running the stocker today made about 2 laps and it was loose already... I tightened it so dam tight and electrical taped it... Still didn't work... I'm going to red lock tight it and retape it and see if it works... Oh also I have the Domintor axle...hadn't even tried running the stock nut since I got the axle but need something now for this weekend any tips or anything will be much appreciated

I just use a lot of blue loctite. The key is to let it set up and get "hard". Unfortunately, if you are taping it right away, it isn't getting air to it to set up. And worse, you probably don't have a lot of time to let it set up before you race. Do it overnight, then tape. Should fix it.

I use the electrical tape and it works great. It does loosen a little over time but not a lot. I really use quite a bit though. I probably go around the two nuts, a littl peice of that threaded shaft and about two inches of the axle. Probably around 15 - 20 rounds.

I have used duct tape as well and it works too just not as plyable as the electric tape but much sturdier.

Clean the nut and the threaded collar really good, then use some RTV silicone when you put it back together.

I used red loctite, just put a small dab of it on there, otherwise its a biatch to get off. So much so, that it destroys the threads if you dont use heat to get the nut off. And I slap some electrical tape on there for backup.:D

Had the same problem, i bought a $50 Dura Blue lock nut and have not had that problem any more, 50 was better than 250.

I used a Rad lock nut for 2 years of MX (before I sold the bike) and it worked great. Those bolts that pinch the nut do NOT get tightened very hard, just barely snug. Very little pressure kept it in place. Sounds like you overtightened it, by a lot.

I would think you could still use it with one bolt too....
