stock shifter

Could someone do me a big favor and measure their stock shifter ? Possibly from the center, of where it slips over the shaft, to the center of the rubber bumper. When we bought my son's 300ex, it has an aftermarket shifter and it just seems a little short. Thanks for your time; Jerry

roughly 5 3/4 inches. It was a tight squeeze to get to my dads 300ex to measure it but its really close.

Thanks. The shifter on the quad was only 4 3/4. Ordering a new IMS.
