yep i have 450r shocks on my 300ex and the 300ex burgard a-arms are for stock 300ex shocks, but i have the DJC's shock relocator

correct me if I'm wrong but I think just having 450r shocks with stock a arms would be VERY stiff. even though you ride trails the 300ex is skinny to start out with so I would do 300ex long travel a arms and 450r shocks WITHOUT the relocator

I'm not sure if you get dirt wheels but they had 3 differant project raptor 250's and on one they had long travel jrd a arms and stock 450r shocks WITHOUT relocating kit

just my 2 cents

go with 400 shocks and arms with a relocator

i was thinking about the 400ex a-arms conversion but i want to keep it somewhat narrow. how much width would the 400ex a-arms add like 2in?

I know u can run Houser Slycast 300ex a-arms with 450r shocks with a Rath Racing shock relocater. Because we do and it's AWESOME for XC racing. Michael say's he can make this quad do whatever he wants in the wooda, and he can keep it pinned in the roughest terrain. And he's right when I watch him in the woods compared to other built quads he's way smoother then alot of other built quads.

But it isn't cheap. The shock relocator is around $350, shocks $1550,a-arms around $650.

^^^^^^ haha i wish i had that much money. but at 13 i have to pay for my quad and everything with it. but if i ever got into more racing then thats what i would do. thanks for the info

The 400ex a-arms will make ur front about 3" wider (+1.5 per side) This is a cheap and easy swap, and you can find stock 400ex a-arms and shocks prety cheap. Corse you will need the ty rods and shock relocator as well. You can use ur stock break lines and stock spindels. Ur bike will handel 10 times better

Ya 450r shocks are pretty damn stiff even with +2 arms. Had to do alot of adjusting.:D

I'd keep it the same, i like my narrow stock a arms because i trail ride too, but my stock shocks blew out on me.

so i put elka PB36B's on the front... they do the job, but if you dont like the stock shocks you can just buy Works shocks that fit your 300ex and they'll do the same job, they dont cost as much as the elkas but they probably ride the same.

and on the back i run an o1 raptor 660 shock, which is nice.

The 400 arms arnt that much wider than the rear axle. My front end is about a half inch wider on either side compared to the rear of the bike

what would 400ex a arms be like with 300ex std. length shocks?

^^^^^^ it would be very very soft it's basically running 300ex +2 a aerms with stock shocks
