My motor is at FTZ with its new cylinder but they called and said my head has been shaved down too much and I need a new one. Let me know if you got a 89-90 Pilot 400cc Head laying around or know where one might be. Thanks.

That was done by Trinity racing. The crankshaft and inside the cylinder was done also. Don't know the reason.

I'm suprised they don't want you to use a cool head. What TQ and HP do they claim the motor will make?

They put those cuts on it for the purpose of better lubrication.. A small company called Hollywood Dirt used to do a simular mod called the "Prop" head mod on Blaster heads...

My Stage II Trinity motor has the same cuts in the head.

Well Dennis said I need a stock untouched head so he can modify from scratch. I guess each builder doesnt like using anothers modded parts. Also he said I can use a cool head but it woud have to be UN-cut and he would cut the dome from scratch.

Yes, thats the best way to go. I'm getting my pilot cylinder bored to 85mm and using the same rod and piston combo we are using on the new Puma motors. That will give 431cc and create a torque moster motor. Only downfall is spending $500 for crank balancing.
