After rebuilding the quad started right up, but soon after it wouldn't idle steady :s, the idle became very unsteady. i,ve double check the timing after that and its good,

what do you guys think might be the prob :S i think is the carb itself

your on the right track.

First make sure your intake boot is not leaking air, then start adjusting / jetting the carb.

btw, I am assuming that you did a few routine things, and normal adjustments during your rebuild.
oil and filter change, proper throttle cable adjustment, clean airfilter, min. 91 octane fuel for your higher compression, proper valve adjustments, re-tightened header bolts, verified no electrical grounding issues after painting, all electrical connectors are good condition and tightly plugged in, etc.

yes i,ve done all those re-checks that's why i'm assuming it's the carb that is causing this trouble.

How much did it cost for your full rebuild?

see the thing is i live in Aruba! i,ve order everything from ebay.

these prices are estimates:
big bore kit with new sleeve: $220
complete gasket kit:$40
oilfiter+ sparkplug: @ $20
cylinder bore:$100
new chain sliders: $50

so where talking @ $430 give and take

Thats not bad. I'm sure there is an amazing increase in power with the 440.

what jetting is it? sounds like a leak or something sticking in your carb possibly. steve
