yamaha would never come out with it considering all their sleds have already switched to four strokes.
can am, polaris and arctic cat are the ones that you would most likely see this from. but still i doubt it. i dont think insurance companies would let a company put a stock 90 hp quad on the show rooms floors.
wouldnt it be nice though...

thats what i never understood. they will put a 90hp motor into a quad that goes in the snow (snow mobile) but they wont put one in a quad that goes in the dirt. never could understand that..

for a snowmobile the tracks are pretty heavy and take alot more to get going. also most snowmobile trails are just like car road( ITS trails) and you can cruise comfortably at around 60 mph. also snow is harder to move when you need to push the snow and move forward then on a quad just moving forward. also snowmobiles are heavy and climb mountains with 4+ ft of snow.
snowmobiles need that power. a 600 snowmobile is about a 450 quad when compared. ever rode like a 340? they have like 60hp and are a dog. a 60 hp quad will RIP

Hope he cuts up a 500 twin next time. that would be a nice modern 250 2 stroke:blah:

Well its because all quad riders do is go to the "mud bog" and wear wifebeaters with no helmet. We don't need that kind of power

Clutching could be off as well as the tuning of the engine. Clutching does wonders on sleds.

as far as looking doggy, keep in mind 1) it's a two-stroke and 2) centrifugal clutch... of course its going to wind out right away before it realy gets moving.
it looks like a blast!! just push the go button.
am the only one who thought it looked pretty quick? cvt is deceptive in comparios to bangin gears

You guys have to remember, snowmobile motors are deceiving.
Every time I see a snowmobile motor in a golf cart, or go kart, they look like a complete dog. Then you drive them and you're like DAMN.
This applies to the quad too.. the snowmobile motor doesn't rev as high so it doesn't sound as aggressive as a regular ATV 2-stroke, and there is no banging through gears. Makes it seem slow even if its not.

cant judge it without riding it, i had a hoped up polaris 400 that would give a 450 a run and it would not shred the tires as far as that one did, i mean there is alot of variables but if youve had much cvt expirience u know they dont always "look" fast
