How do you not have jets?? Did you change over to EFI??

List current carb specs, and maybe we can give ideas.

i have the same problem too. when i give it gas i get a shutter or a hesitation when i adjust the fuel screw to go leaner the hesitation goes away but i get a backfire. its drove me crazy for years now:ermm: would love to tune it out.

Ya. I get that. but when your getting backfireing on your de-accel richening the fuel screw tunes it out. (which I'm sure you already know). But when I tune out the backfire I get the hesitation.

yup went through and sealed the exhaust too. i mean really sealed. took the headers off the header flange and sealed everything then checked everything with a flame on a lighter to see for any leaks
