Usually 250r imitators get kicked off before they get too many posts in.... just kidding.

For the cost of the service honda 250r you could build a really nice real trx250r. I have seen one the fit and finish was very nice. The welds on the frame and pipe fit all looked like something honda would design. But I did hear them say it did not put out the power expected. Put out about the same power as a close to stock 250r.

My question with doing this is why?? The TRX250R (IMO) has one of the bext built chassis out there.........as far as geometry. Not saying the 400EX isn't good, but a lot of chassis that has been built through the years is patterned after the 250R. Just wondering......:D

price and availibility of parts. i did it for reasons you will see on the first post on my thread. i didnt need much as i had a bunch of parts from my 400ex and 250r. it was a fun project to keep me away from the woman for a bit.
