I have these in a box here but haven't installed them yet. Just by looking at them I've got one question. What happens to the lower fender mount when you put the scoops on? I'm assuming that little rod has to be removed because the scoops mount in that location. Do the fenders just flap then?

Thanks

u can get scoops with a hole drilled in it already for the fender mount. If you dont have holes no mount for you unless you drill them yourself

That's what I figured I'd have to do. I'll have to run to the store and buy a new holesaw cause 2-1/2" is probably a little big:D

Yeah. In most of his scoops there is a hole drilled there for the mount.

When I got my scoops from Tinner, I wasn't sure if I was going to need the hole in them for the support or not (due to running cut fenders). He sent them to me without the holes, but marked the back side of them where I could drill a hole if I felt the need to.

Yes, there should be a scribe mark on the back for the holes. If anyone is ever in question about this, please ask me for details.I think I always ask, but who knows. I don't want anyone to be unhappy. If you ever get something that doesn't seem right (holes or not) please contact me to get you set up with the right ones. Tell your friends, I have slick new Z400 scoops.:D

Tinner, the fit was great on the scoops and all the hardware fit like a glove. Upon closer inspection of these scoops I do see the scribed mark for the holes. What size hole do you recommend? My mounting tabs are welded onto the support rod on both ends so I'm guessing it would have to be roughly 1".

Hey Fellas, I've been around, just busy with alot of different things. I am still making scoops, also I have new ones for the Suzuki & Kawasaki 400's. Right now, until I have my new shop it will be tough for me to do any airboxes or anything like that. We will be building this spring, and hopefuly it will allow me to do more things. Once my stickers come in, I will get some out to those who still needed them.
