So are we going to see the next DRR with an 85cc shifter engine in it like the 2011 Apex???? Is this the beginning of the end of the CVT's? Your thoughts?

These JUNK frames will never hold up. For the money Apex wants for that quad I'd buy a used Cobra 1st. No matter who's suspension you put on the DRR or Apex - it does not compair to the Cobra or a Mod. Geometry.

Let me make this clear. You will still prolly need a arms and better shocks. This bike is way lighter than the cvt model. the front half of the frame is the same the rear has big changes. swingarm looks like a cobra swingarm but it is not a cobra swingarm. Everything so far works perfect. I have only lubed chain and put gas in it. Frame has not even showed any signs of bending/cracking/breaking. I think I have the only one running/racing at this time. I do have a rm85 with the dirtbike pipe which is not the same as the one on the 2011. This thing rips. way faster than any cvt I have ever built. And its for sale! Rider broke his arm last weekend and will be on a 300 next year.

i think the price of one is very high considering you can buy a whole rm85 for 3200 and a apex for 3000 so you would have the same cost about and all the dirt bike parts and apex engine to sell someone's getting rich

Definately would be money ahead with a Cobra or converting your DRR /Apex into a shifter to teach them to start shifting.
On a posative note, the Cobra's now have something to run with for a change, and not jumping to a Rappy 250 I assume they would run stock/ production class rather than open mini shifter/ sr.

So would the Cobra/Apex 2 smoke shifters run with the Yammy & Pitster 4 strokes to make larger classes for production?
