Same part different prices?

I couldn't find the rear wheel nut (22mm) for my 250r during my rebuild and found its the same castle nut that's on my kfx400. I checked on service honda's website and under the the 250r part it was over $10 and in the kawasaki section it was $2.40. Over 5x the price for the same nut.

well, a 400ex and 250r swingarm bolt is nearly the same, but the 250r swingarm bolt is 2-3x as expenisve. When they were available, a 86/87 and 88/89 250r front caliper was different prices, the only difference is some kind of pad indicator and color. Thats typical of new stock compared to old stock. When a new run of parts comes around, the price of the part changes, sometimes higher and sometimes lower. As with 250r parts, it just goes higher.
