87 jetting help

alright i just picked up my first 250r, but it boggs down at WOT i pulled the main to check and it has a 162 main, the only mods is a pt pipe and fmf silencer with a unifoam filter

any help is appreciated

I think that means your main is to rich. go to duncanracing.com and look under tech and jetting. very helpful.

if you havent figured out the problem by now, here are some tips: just by saying it bogs at wot without considering any other problem means 162 is too rich. you have to go leaner on the main.

check for air leaks and compression. these problems may make you run rich also.

how does it run from start up to 3/4?

definately go to duncans website and read the jetting info. also look at carb parts warehouse.
