450r question

a little ticking/rattling noise in the engine, but when clutch is engaged the noise goes away. this is an 08 trx450r, is this normal or what could it be?

i would remove the clutch cover and check the little bearing that sits in the end of the clutch, that the arm pushes to engage the clutch. any resistance, or noise replace it.

Where is the clutch cover located?

the right side, when seated. the round center cover. the bearing is cheap, i would think about replacing the clutch's and inner bearing.
on the microfisch number 23. outer bearing, # 24 hub bearing.

You will need to drain the oil, or tilt the machine onto its side before removing this cover.
