2001 ex 250 clutch part question plz

I have a 2001 250ex and need to buy the clutch plate.
Honda wants to sell me the whole clutch plate assembly which I don't need.
However, I can order just the part I want on an '03 250ex.
Will the '03 clutch plate work? Is it the same as my '01?

yes the 01 and 03 trannys are the same.

but you could find it alot cheaper by getting aftermarket plates. OEM honda parts are pricey.
