YFZ450 Kickstart Cross reference?

Yamaha Discontinued their kickstart kit that they offered through GYTR. Does anyone know what or if what year dirtbike it may be the same as? Trying to put one in a YFZ450 but cant since GYTR discontinued them.

you can buy the gears for yz450F on ebay. thats the only ones that will work

Do you know what year YZ450F? I have a gift certificate for my local shop and would like to use it there and not purchase on ebay. Got to support my local city

well if ur wanting new oem parts then i hope you have a BIG certificate. the main shaft is $260.29 the idler gear is $55.55 the stopper is $32.20 and you'll need a $4.28 washer for the main shaft a $2.60 washer for the idler and a $1.76 circlip for the idler. the oil seal is $5.36 and the washer plate for the stopper is $2.70 and 2 bolts for the stopper $0.68 each depending on which lever you get the dirtbike ones are $200+

I might take you up on that. I did some research and 04-05 YZ450 part numbers are the same and then 2006 they are not the same as the YZ450? You said the 2004-2008 YZ450 stuff will work? Which year for certain as I dont want to buy and not work

ive researched this for awhile now and ive actually experimented with them and I know everything that fits and that is tha same parts.

But take in mind the price of those new retail is rediculous. I have a full kit start right here with a GYTR lever and everything just let me know if u decide to buy it from me.

I heard that the dirtbike shaft is smaller and you have to use a bike side cover with the bike parts??

How many kits do you have and are they new?

the 03 dirtbike is the only shaft that wont fit. you cant use a dirtbike side cover on the quad they are not the same covers.

I have kick start parts they are not new but you cant tell they arent. they dont wear out or anything so a used part isnt any different than a new one. ill sale a complete kit without the oil seal for $200 shipped. i would sale it cheaper but the kits are gettin harder to find and the gytr are discontinued now
