Does anyone know if a Uni-Filter will work on an ESR eliminator kit? If so, can you tell me which one that I need to get. I want to switch from a K&N to an Uni-Filter. I need to get one before my riding trip in 2 weeks.

do you by chance have one of each or at least have a oem air box to take measurements from and compare to the eliminator kit? if they prove to be different, then you may opt to purchase a uni that will slide onto the eliminator.... just a thought as i havent any first hand experience.

That's what I'm looking for Randy. I want a Uni Filter that will slide on my ESR tube. I've heard a lot of guys say they are better for dirt.

i can measure a stock box inlet and post the dimensions if you like. then you can compare and go from there?

I know the stock airbox size is a lot larger. I've got a stock airbox to compare to. I thought maybe someone had already done this.

I wonder if this filter would work.

You can get it in a 2 1/2 inch diameter. And by my measurments, my ESR tube is right around the same.

Not bad for 20 bucks if they would work. :eek2:

I got to thinking if the 2 1/2 diameter was for the inlet or the whole filter itself. But im pretty sure it means for the whole filter. It was a nice thought anyway.

Wonder how that Uni foam cover would work. Slip it over the K&N??

thats what I did. I bought Uni single layer wraps for the K&N filter. I like it alot but I am a sand guy and don't need the really fine filtering as much.

If you are interested I think that the Uni # was 01-1124 for the single stage foam wrap. Its the coarse red foam.

I was wondering if you use a outerware style filter cover at all. As far as a uni filter working I just used measurements off my old filters in the past and was able to find a match for them using the Uni catalog to find a replacement. We run outerware covers on our filters and they work great
