has anyone been braking decompression spring 05

we have had 04 05 trx450r since they came out and never broke the decompression spring ........untill this year we have broke 5 of them since atva nationals this year.............. both quads only have 13 hours on them ................i have even replaced the whole assembly out ...........it seems to be braking the small washer that is on the shaft that the return spring is on ............anyone have any ideas ??????????????????

Haven't heard of anything like that... The 08 has a service call on them but that's a diffrent set up...

i know you never here about the 04 05 breaking at all ...........just thinking that maybe someone has some kind idea what to start looking for or at thanks

Did you change your set up at all before it started happening?

yes we are running a hot cam but besides that its all the same as last year but new ............i just took a look at this last 1 that broke and it was the plate that the allen head bolt go threw that holds it inward.........it looks like that plate broke then it allowed the decompression lever to walk outward then the spring broke ?????????????????
