clutch prob please help

my clutch slips real bad when its cold but when it warms up its fine but then when i shut it off and wait about 5 min it does it again and takes about 5min to start working again and the clutch is almost brand new and my free play is good would stifer springs help please help thanks:confused:

This seems odd. Is the clutch installed properly? The last friction plate goes in the "shallow" groves of the basket.

idk about the last friction plate thing would that be the prob

How does the cable look? Is it hard to pull the lever?

not to hard to pull the clutch its not the easiest thoe

I'm not sure what problems having the last friction plate in the wrong place would cause..but I do know it goes in the shallow grooves.

When its slipping is the lever all the way back?

You could pull the side cover off and watch what the clutch actually does when you pull the lever and let it go.

what do u meen when the lever is all the way back

Lever back meaning completely let go. I'm wondering if your cable is bad and not completely letting go or slowly letting go causing the clutch to slip.

im leting it go all the way it only does it when its cold and when i let it sit for 5min idk what the prob is its annoying:mad:

When you pull it in is it smooth or does it snag like its sticking in some spots?

Then I am not quite sure. That is the only thing I could really think of. If it was happening all the time I would say you need to adjust your cable. But since it is only doing it intermittently I really am not sure.
