well i take it from your name that you run mx..i'd get the +2 if i were you because your quad is less stavble with you make it longer....orr wait it is more stable at top speed but doesen't turn as sahrp..but if you ride trails and hill climb and everything i'd get the +2+1 ..... i think thats right..hope that helps

just remember with 2+1 you have to get new brake lines, with +2 you dont

Yeah, i ride MX and that's it. and a TT event sometimes.

I was going to get Steel Braided brake lines anyhow!

I would go ahead and spring for the +2+1s. I run them on my quad for MX, and they do a superb job.
I have the chrome Laegers too. I didn't know that Laeger made the 400EX aarms in +2+1. I thought they only made +2 and +3.

Yup, they make +2 and +2+1, but +3 are very rare, only on special order i think.

Get the plus two, plus ones. I would get the Axis shocks with them.

How much does the +1 forward help?

Yeah, i'm probably getting Axis Triple rate compression adj.

I know where i can get +2+1's right now and wouldn't have to wait. But if i got regular +2 i would have to wait.

WOuld you recomend +2+1 for MX racing.

If you ride MX, and pretty much MX only get the +2+1, sorry 51, you're wrong. With the +1 forward you make you weight transfer over the rear wheels making the rear tires Stick ALOT better!!! And in MX traction plays a big roll! like on holeshots & turns! the +1 forward does make it a little better on hills but you dont climd hills. And in TT you would need +2+1 also (+3+1 would be even better for TT) cuz you need as much traction as you can get in a tt race, the holeshot is everything in TT and you need ALOT of traction on the holeshot!!! I have +2+1 a-arms and there alot better!!! Like beerock said night -n- day (or fat -n- skinny)!

If your going to get an extended swingarm you don't need the extra inch from the arms. The swingarm will cover it

12-05-2001, 08:01 AM
I JUST GOT SOME +3 1/2 AND +1 FOWARD FROM RICKY STATOR, BELEIVE ME THEY ARE AWESOME, IF YOU RUN STOCK SHOCKS YOU'LL GO FROM 8 INCHES TO 10 INCHES, SINCE IM RUNNING WORKS I WENT FROM 8 TO 13 INCHES, THEY ARE AWESOME SUPER PLUSH, ESPECIALLY SINCE I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO AND DO PLEANTY OF BAJA RIDING, WHAT A DIFFERENCE GET GO TO THERE WEBSITE, ALSO THE CONSTRUCTION IS SUPERB, COMPARAQBLE TO THE LONESTARS AND HOUSER A-ARMS, THE ONLY ONES I'VE SEEN THAT ARE BETTER ARE THE ROLL DESIGN, BUT THEN OU'LL SPEND ABT 1500-1600 FOR THE PAIR BUT WELL WORTH IT

12-05-2001, 08:27 AM
$1500 for a set of A-arms???:huh :huh :huh :huh

stocktires
12-05-2001, 08:40 AM
Yea, the complete lobo package is like $2500! But tha includes axis shocks, i think the a-arms alone are like $1500

12-05-2001, 09:16 AM
ITS THOSE ROLL DESIGN, REMEMBER THAT THE ROLL DESIGN GULLWING FRONT END INCLUDES THE SHOCKS,AXIS, AND THEY RUN OVER 2 GRAND, A FFIEND SOLD ME HIS RICKY STATOR A-ARMS AND WORKS TRIPLE REZZIES WITH STEEL BRAID LINES FOR 500 BUCK, ONLY 2 MNTHS OLD, BUT HE BOUGHT SOME ROLL DESIGHN A-ARMS, USED, THAT GOT REPOWDER COATED FOR 1200, ITS RIDICULOUS, BUT LIKE FOR THE BAJA, WHICH IS WHAT WE MOSTLY RACE, YOU NEED STUFF LIKE THAT ITS WAY STURDIER

12-05-2001, 11:02 AM
Well I know all about lobo front ends but the wording on your message looks like your saying you bought a ricky stator A-arm kit for $1500. I still think that's crazy even for Roll design arms,,,some of these company's are raping us with the prices they charge for things..

12-05-2001, 11:30 AM
I OGT MINE CHEAP 500 FOR ALL A-ARMS AND SHOCKS WRKS WITH REZZIES, SO I GOT HOOKED UP

trx400ex
12-05-2001, 01:55 PM
you can only get the lobo front end in plus one and plus three, not plus 2

Dave400ex
12-05-2001, 01:56 PM
Roll Design is awesome, but for $575 I would rather buy Laeger a-arms.

12-05-2001, 03:54 PM
You can get roll design a-arms for like $600-$700! The leager pro-trax front end is equal to the lobo

12-05-2001, 09:38 PM
Can you buy regualar +2 roll arms, not the lobo.

it can't cost 1500$ to bend a pipe into a U and do the other things to it... i don't think it should cost more then 300$ and i will buy nuttin but houser or the JB from hetricks bc i am gonna ride at his track both are 550 and thats pushing it for me..... and why does a quads shocks cost so much 1000$ i will never buy those just works for me.... car shocks are alot cheaper how come...

why can't they lower the prices they will sell alot more i think bc noone wants to spend that much:huh :huh :huh :huh

12-06-2001, 06:38 AM
I dont' think its the lobo front end. The lobo front end requires 19 inch shocks,,and works does not make shocks that long,,so I'm guessing it's a roll design arms but not the lobo design.

I know, stuff costs so much. They have like $150 in the materials. Then they have to put them together and powdercoat the a-arms. Labor and powdercoating shouldn`t cost $400. I guess as long as people buy the products they won`t lower the prices.

But, you get what you pay for, and roll design and Axis are, arguably, The best!

Top Dollar = Top of the Line

Roll Design and Custom Axis are the best with out a doubt. I just think the Roll a-arms are over priced. I would love to have a Lobo 2 Front End though.

I heard that, i wish one of my sponsors would give me like 50-75% off so i can afford the lobo kit.

but, none of them do, so i'm trying to build my quad as best as possible with the money i have.

thats true but I bet my houser arms will last as long as any roll design arm. In my opinion companies that rape the customer are doin nothing but making ATV racing harder to get into and doesn't help the image of ATV racing.

Look at it this way,,,you can go buy a stock dirtbike, race and be competitive. If your looking into buying a race quad to go race and be comptetive you have to buy the bike then invest thousands of dollars or buy a cannondale moto. ATV racing will never get the recongnition it deserves when ya got companies asking for house deeds to buy a few of their products,,just pisses me off. Doug Roll can go jump off a bridge for all i care.. and he can take his overly priced products with him,,,anybody that wants $230 for a set of foot pegs has got a crack smokin problem I think. He is not lookin out for the interest of the customer he's lookin at the interest on his mortgage payment I think.

i agree 100%,,,shocks i can see costing a little money to produce, but several hundred dollars for a damn tube they call a steering stem?? he must have a real big *** house if he needs that much cash for the mortgage payments

Why can't they give us a break and perhaps, GIVE us what we want.......(yeah, like that will ever happen)

it would be cool though.

I agree with you, it seems like most chassis, and even motor shops are raising prices bigtime.

And i can't afford the raises. I'm a poor college student.

Your not lying about the cost it takes to get the performance you want. I bought a qaud because we have no snow in AZ(my sledding days are over) :(, plus I like being low to the ground and going REAL fast :D . But when I started to look at how much it cost to trick it out...I mean sheesh, I can build a killer 4x4 like I had for that price. I barely had enough to by the quad...although I did just get some Renthal bars and AC ProPegs.....The sad thing is that no matter how much we hate it and complain, we will all break down and eventaully pay the price to get what we want. I'll probably have A-arms and shocks b4 the end of 2002... Pep. By the way 400MXer, I WAS just a poor college student too, and now that I have to pay back student loans....I'm just poor! ;)

400MXer
12-17-2001, 09:17 PM
Yup, i'll be just plain old poor when i get out too!!!!!!!!!!

Damn Student Loans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12-18-2001, 08:15 AM
TELL ME ABOUT STUDENT LOANS!!!! ALL THAT EXTRA MONEY COULD BE GOING TO THE BIKES, YEAH RIGHT, TO THE GOVERNMENT, WOULDN'T IT BE COOL, SEEING AS THAT WE ARE IN A "RECESSION" THAT THEY WOULD CUT OUR LOANS IN HALF, MAN THAT WOULD BE COOL
