View Full Version : Time to consolidate the toys, ideas?

I picked up another toy off a buddy of mine (grassman here). Traded a little kubota tractor for the Kodiak. I had the tractor for sale for a while with little interest, figured I could sell the Kodiak easier.

Anyway, I'm thinking it's time to sell off my Odyssey, the Kodiak, the kids 50cc, maybe even my 400ex, and get something else. I'd like to get something I could take my kids for a ride on. They are 7 and 5.

I'd love a Rzr if Honda made one, not really interested in a Rhino or Big Red. I'd like to find something on the smaller side, so I could still fit down the same trails, something like the Odyssey with 2 seats would be sweet

I keep seeing these Joyner Buggies. They look sweet, but I can't find much info about them. Heard they went outta business, too.

My budget would be basically what I could get out of the others. If I could find something around 5 to 6k, maybe I could keep the 400 around. If I sell that too, maybe stretch the budget to 7 or 8.

Thoughts, ideas?

Seats 4, fits down the trail, goes over/through anything, and floats!

NICE! Yours?

I still gotta somewhat keep up with my buddies riding- 400ex, 700xx, kfx700. The Odyssey at least hangs in not too far behind, when it runs lol.

Yep that is mine, they are definately fun but would not be able to keep up with a 400 through the woods. They top out at 30 ish through a field, but in the woods I keep it in low gear and you just can go through any amount of mud of over any tree, rock, etc.

Don't get a Joyner

I would try to sell everything and buy a RZR. Ya its a Polaris and I hate Polaris but these are pretty well made. Not like there typical 2 ton quads.

OK, sooo, what would that be?

I'd love to find something like a Joyner with known reliabilty. The RZR ehh... I don't think I could swallow a PoPo. I'd love a Redline Riot, but that's just outta my league.

I'm into old VW's, too. I've thought a lot about building a rail, but I need something smaller.

ya man just build a lil rail with a street bike motor (r1 or hyabusa or gsxr1000 something along those lines)
But have it set up so its 2 seats one in front and one in back then the motor in the far back

Here is my crappy impression of what im talkin about on PAINT haha shifter is on either side depending on what u would like

Nice! I'd stick with 2 seats though to keep the size down. Some of the trails we ride are tight. My local bug shop has 2 rails for sale and one frame in the shop. I'm gonna get their thoughts on this. The ones they have are way too big for the riding I'm thinking about though. Sweet street machines, would be awesome on the dragstrip, or in the dunes out west depending on the setup. But I ride narrow trails through the woods, need something small.

what about some kind of buggy/kart that seats 2 or 3 behind eachother in a line to keep it narrow
