frame color for black 400ex

hey guys i have a 05 400ex with black plastics and was wonderin wat color looks cool for the frame. i was thinkin dark blue or maybe red but im not really sure yet. was just wonderin if u guys had any pics of quads with the fraame painted. also wanna know how much of a project it is. thanks

Not a 400, but you get the idea. Whatever color you go with, my suggestion would be to powdercoat instead of paint. Paint just isn't durable enough for a frame.

Taking a quad down to the frame isn't hard. Just remember to take lots of pictures (especially of wiring and hoses), and put all the bolts in sandwich bags, labelled with where the came from.

it doesn't have black plastics but you get the idea. go with black, then add on some red. it would look SWEEET!!

thanks everbody i think my decision just got harder before i liked blue and red but now i like green too lol black aint bad either. im kinda leanin towards blue but i have stock red shocks so id have to get different shocks for blue (this is how all my money disapears haha) alright thanks everbody i think ill give this a try this for a winter project.

I think the blue would look really nice. If you already have aftermarket shocks you could get the springs powdercoated blue, If not it's a good time for you to upgrade them.
