no they are not hot cams they are web cams used to have a lrd 440 in it but put it back to stock bore. it is a stock z400 carb think it is a 37mm mikuni but not positive. i have bad throttle response off ideal and when i can get it reved up then when i let out it back fires horrible. seems like there is no defference in power shifting from 4th to 5th and after holding it wide open for a short period the head pipe gets red hot. it has a 170jet in it at the time.

yes the stock carb is a 37mm mikuni...I assume your running with the air box lid off and a good filter....
1- when you pulled the plug how did it look?......

2-do you have a dyno jet kit in it or did you just swap out the main jet?...

3-what size pilot jet are you using and how many turns out is the fuel mixture screw...

4 - what plug are you using and what number

5 - what octane fuel are you using?

you really should be running a larger carb with a high comp pistion, full exhaust, cams and porting....an fcr39 at least...
