No experience with either, but for me Laeger was the "creme-de-la-creme" back in the day. It may be more of a "name" thing than anything... I still have dreams like when I was a kid about a full Laeger bike... LOL! I talk about it so much my wife had a dream that she met Mark at an airport. ...Funny story...

Anyway, I think Lonestar is good stuff and still has great support. I'm not sure about the "new" Laeger.

Also stock length Laeger's may be hard to find(??) not sure. I haven't seen many forsale.

It's hard to say. If you are riding in mud, the heim joints get worn quick and are expensive to replace.

Also, like Troy said, it depends on old vs new. Old Laeger stuff fit awesome, no pounding or messing with it, new stuff - I have no idea, depends who their fabricator/welder is.

The frap Laeger's are really easy to rebuild by yourself, no special tools or anything required, but there is not much point spending extra money on a-arms if you don't get a little extra width IMO.

good question. ha you'd think with their $40 a piece ball joints they could pay their website fees lol. I have looked everywhere if its made by frap its 40 bucks. maybe I'm being cheap but i would have more money in the ball joints than the a arms.

well back in the day lonestar was crap(mid 90s). I knew several local MX guys that bought frames and before one season was over they started cracking. fast forward to today and I think Lonestar could possibly be better than Laegers since Laegers is just a shell operating under a known name. kinda like what happened when Arlan sold LRD....

Hey. Just so everyone knows laeger is still in business. I ordered some ball joints from Scott over there today. I guess they had some problem renewing their website. Just a lil fyi. I know there was speculations.

Had a lot of Laegers A-arms and frames and what not, they were all amazing. Had a buddy who had bought a brand new lonestar frame, and he had to do a lot of tuning to make bolts line up correctly, and little things like that. In my mind, if you spend that kind of money on something, it shoud be right. I would by the Laegers parts every time.

I've got some mid 90s lonestar a-arms that were raced and crashed a bunch of times and they look fine to me, no cracks. I got my ball joints by moog for$12 a piece off ebay. I see amazon has them for $15 before shipping (http://www.amazon.com/Moog-ES2074R-Steering-Center-Link/dp/B000C59VOY/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1278943425&sr=8-6)
