spark plug

why is my spark plug cover loose( the yellow thing) that goes over the spark plug and when i tighten it it comes loose again

do u mean the rubber boot or the whole assembly?

rubber boot-----the yellow hting keeps comin loose

i think there's a clip that holds it on at the top near where the wire goes thru

are you sure it's just the boot? the clip which is a ring just wraps around the top of the boot to hold it on, if you lost it some good electrical tape will wok

no way to get or post a pic, is your boot just sliding up the wire? spark plug cap stays on the plug?

the plug stays on but it like gets loose and then i have to re-tighten it and then it works fine. but i won't it so i won't have to keep doin this

so your saying that you don't feel the plug wire click onto the top of the spark plug?

if not, the clip inside the wire is worn out,,,you may need to try a new plug wire to see if that fixes it,,,
