No, it's built in to the new one.

I heard they made it able to switch memory from your hard drive to it easily.

i think you can pick up a cable from gamestop to plug into your origonal hard drive and then plug the other end into the usb on the new xbox and it will then allow you to copy everything over upon startup

Maybe I'm not understanding what your saying here, but all 360 hard drives are interchangeable.

So you had an older 360 and it broke or whatever, now you have a new one and want to put your old hard drive in it, correct? If so, yes its simple. It snaps onto the top of the xbox.

Your hard drive looks like this, right?

It's plugged in at the top of your 360.

OK so I just looked and I had no idea they came out with a NEW 360. Did you just get a new (old model) 360, or the actual "new" model?

I was gonn buy the new one just because I rather sell my 1st gen while it works and its been trouble free for like a year since the last repair until I saw how bad the new ones fail lol So many people like the 1st day or the 1st few days owning them they crapped out. I'll wait until they come out with the package later with the new 360 and the motion sensor device in the bundle.

Hm, IDK man. I didn't even know anything about the new one coming out. It would be dumb for them to make it without being able to transfer memory somehow. Do a google search, I'm sure you will be able to find it.

Okay what dont you understand.

old xbox-external hard drive
new xbox- internal hard drive.

you go to a store, but a cable to transfer the data off of you old xbox harddrive, onto the built in hard drive on the new xbox. and thats it.

Yeah of course it will play the old games. Why wouldn't just using the recover gamertag feature work?

The only difference from the old 360 to the new "slim" 360 is built in hard drive, built in wi-fi, the hard drive is 250 gb i think and it's shaped different.

It's just a new looking 360 basically. No new games, no new technology. Same stuff with a new look.

I would say the built-in wi fi is new technology, the old 360's had the whack *** adapter.

Not really "New" considering both the Wii and PS3 have had it for a while now.
