2007 trx 450r problem?

hey guys i just got a 07 450r and the thing started for me when i got it and ran great but a day later i cant get it to start. the starter just whines and every once in a while it seems to catch and try to turn over but its just not enough. is there a starter problem with these things? im used to yfz's so i dont know much about the honda's.

check your battery and if thats good your starter clutch is sticking or something with the starter clutch

Starter clutch is going out.

That's what I was thinkin. That's not to expensive is it?

There was a recall on the starters. The recall has expired, but it doesn't hurt to ask the dealer if they could get it fixed somehow. If they can't help, I believe it's less than $200 for parts.

Just wondering, are you pushing the gas as your trying to start it?Also try turning your feul screw out 1/4 to 1/2 a turn.

no i wasnt then i tried to, but its definatly the starter clutch.
