I have an 04 450r engine that i took apart but dont really have the time or money to put back together. how much is it worth as it sits, all it needs is new crank bearings and a new bearing for a roller that controls the intake or exhaust valves i cant remember which. It ran before i took it apart, just rough, but its all in good shape other than those bearings. what should i expect to get? thanks Jake

thats it? so for 300 or less that i need to have it fully functional i loose over 700. Cause i see 450 engines going for 1000 or more and i could have mine fixed and done for under 300. totally worth it to fix it?

once an engine is torn down, you should replace the crank, all bearings, piston and rings, gasket kit, etc.
In a sense, the buyer is looking at the cases, head, and connecting rod.
Buyer is looking at 2k to put it back together unless they can do it themselves.

a motor that is taken apart and has problems is worth around 200-300 bucks, it would basically be for parts, especially a 04 motor, even though you say thats the only thing it needs, it should really get a crank, cylinder, piston, valve job/valves, tranny bearings if not some gears as well.
